John Savage was born 1821 in Newington, Surrey. He was the second child of John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer).
On 14th September 1821 John Savage was baptised at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford, Surrey.
On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. John Savage was living in the High Street, Guildford, Surrey, with his parents John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and his siblings; Harriett Savage, Henry Savage, Eliza Savage, Ellen Savage and Martha Ann Savage.
On 27th August 1843 John Savage married Merina Carter at St James' Church, Clerkenwell Close, Clerkenwell, Middlesex. They would go on to have five children; Marina Maria Savage born 1851, Edward John Savage born 1853, Susannah Savage born 1856, Ellen Jane Savage born 1861 and Angelina Margaret Savage born 1866.
On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. John Savage was living at 18 Kennington Place, Kennington, Surrey, with his wife Merina Savage (nee Carter) and their daughter Marina Maria Savage. John was working as an Ivory Turner and Carver.
On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. John Savage was living in Enfield, Middlesex, with his wife Merina Savage (nee Carter), their children Marina Maria Savage, Edward John Savage, Susannah Savage and Ellen Jane Savage and his Granfather Thomas Spicer. John was working as a Mill Wright.
On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. John Savage was living at 4 Fox Court, Holborn, London, with his wife Merina Savage (nee Carter), their children; Marina Maria Savage, Edward John Savage, Ellen Jane Savage and Angelina Savage and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Carter. John was working as a Millwright.
In 1873 John Savage died.
