John Savage 5th April 1796 - 1880

John Savage was born on 5th April 1796 in Clerkenwell, Middlesex. He was the first child of John Savage and Elizabeth Savage.

On 1st May 1796 John Savage was baptised at St Marylebone Churh, Marylebone, London.

Sometime in c.1820 John Savage married Maria Spicer.

On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. John Savage was living in the High Street, Guildford, Surrey, with his wife Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and their children; John Savage born 1821, Harriett Savage born 1823, Henry Charles Savage born 1830, Eliza Savage born 1832, Alice Savage born 1833, Ellen Clara Savage born 1834 and Martha Ann Savage born 1840. John was working as a Hair Dresser.

On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. John Savage was living in Pitch Place, Surrey, with his wife Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and their daughters Martha Ann Savage and Amelia Savage born 1843. John was working in Hair Dresser.

On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. John Savage was living in Perry Hill, Surrey, with his daughters Martha Ann Savage and Amelia Savage and his granddaughter Ellen Dove.

On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. John Savage was living in Bill Field, Stoke, Surrey, with his wife Maria Savage (nee Spicer), their daughter Alice Box (nee Savage) and their granddaughter Helen F. Dove.

In 1880 John Savage died.

Amelia Savage c.1844 - ?

Amelia Savage was born c.1844 in Guildford, Surrey. She was the eighth child of John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer).

On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. Amelia Savage was living in Pitch Place, Surrey, with her parents John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and her sister Mary Ann Savage.

On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. Amelia Savage was living in Guildford, Surrey, with her father John Savage, her sister Maria Savage and her neice Ellen Dove.

On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. Martha Ann Savage was living in Perry Hill, Surrey, with her father John Savage, her sister Ammilia Savage and her neice Ellen Dove.

Ellen Clara Savage c.1834 - 1897

Ellen Clara Savage was born c.1834 in Guildford, Surrey. She was the fifth child of John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer).

On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. Ellen Clara Savage was living in the High Street, Guildford, Surrey, with her parents John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and her siblings; John Savage, Harriett Savage, Henry Charles Savage, Eliza Savage and Martha Ann Savage.

On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. Ellen Clara Savage was living at 1 Selwood Place, Kensington, London, with her brother-in-law John Cooper, her sister Ann Cooper (nee Savage), her niece Ann Cooper and servant Sarah Readin.

On 2nd May 1854 Ellen Clara Savage married Francis Glanville at St Mary's Church, West Brompton, Middlesex.

Glanville, George Greentley Glanville, Ellen Julia Glanville and Henry Charles Glanville, her neice-in-law Jane Brown Cary and a servant Mary Cary.

On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. Ellen Clara Glanville (nee Savage) was living at 156 Fulham Road, Kensington, London, with her husband Francis Glanville, their children; George Greentley Clanville and Ernest C. Glanville and a servant Sarah Harkins.

In 1897 Ellen Clara Glanville (nee Savage) died.

Eliza Savage c.1832 - ?

Eliza Savage was born c.1832 in Guildford, Surrey. She was the fourth child of John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer).

On 19th February 1832 Eliza Savage was baptised at St. Mary Church, Guildford, Surrey.

On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. Eliza Savage was living in the High Street, Guildford, Surrey, with her parents John Savage and Maria Savage (nee Spicer) and her siblings; John Savage, Harriett Savage, Henry Charles Savage, Ellen Savage and Martha Ann Savage.

On 4th July 1849 Eliza Savage married George Dove at St Dunstan Church, Stepney Green, Stepney, Middlesex.

Henry Charles Savage 1830 - 1843

John Savage 1821 - 1873

On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. John Savage was living in Enfield, Middlesex, with his wife Merina Savage (nee Carter), their children Marina Maria Savage, Edward John Savage, Susannah Savage and Ellen Jane Savage and his Granfather Thomas Spicer. John was working as a Mill Wright.

On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. John Savage was living at 4 Fox Court, Holborn, London, with his wife Merina Savage (nee Carter), their children; Marina Maria Savage, Edward John Savage, Ellen Jane Savage and Angelina Savage and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Carter. John was working as a Millwright.

In 1873 John Savage died.
